Join me, photographer Jeff Jones, for a new two day workshop geared to improving your eye for what you see in nature. The first day will be an indoor class at the Wildling Museum where students will perform a number of hands-on exercises to improve their eye for composition. As a group we will review each exercise, and students will learn from the perspectives of other students who wish to share. I will talk about helpful compositional strategies to consider when framing a scene. The second day will be a trip into the beautiful Los Padres National Forest where students can put into practice the ideas discussed the previous day. The morning’s photo location will be influenced by weather and atmospheric forecasts. So while this location waits to be determined, we will meet early in anticipation of gaining good photo opportunities.
