Thursday, September 8, 2016

Join Jeff Jones for an evening of landscape photography of western North America. Come learn what has drawn him to these lands, along with the challenges and successes over the years in his efforts to raise awareness of public lands.

Tuesday October 25, 6pm; Members $3; non-members $7

Jeff has been photographing natural landscapes for 30 years. He has focused primarily on the Sierra Nevada and Santa Barbara County mountains in California, as well as Alaska. When he and his wife moved to Bend in 2013, he began to turn his lens towards the regional landscape of the high desert. Jeff's work was selected by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to comprise a nationally traveling exhibit to celebrate the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge's 50th anniversary. He was commissioned again by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to photograph the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge for its 75th anniversary this year.
